Are you in Palomino — or coming soon — and want to do more than just relax on the beach? Good news: for a small town, Palomino has a surprising range of activities. I'm Paola, and here's my local guide to what you can do in town, with real places and prices.
Yoga Palomino & meditation
Palomino has a beautiful yoga space Sacra built like a Kogui maloca — one of the loveliest settings you'll find for a practice. They offer classes every day at different times (check their Instagram for the daily schedule).
The variety is great: Hatha yoga, yoga for your back, Vinyasa, Hatha Vinyasa, restorative yoga, power yoga and even yoga by the river. A class costs COP $50,000.
They also hold special rituals — sound healing, cacao ceremonies and kirtan nights, among others. And if you're an early riser, there's free meditation at 7 a.m. — a beautiful way to start your day in Palomino.

Surf
Palomino is a great place to learn or improve your surf, with Palomino Surf Town:
Palomino lesson — COP $120,000 (1h15). 15 minutes on the beach learning the basics, then 1 hour in the water.
Surf trip — COP $200,000 per person (9 a.m.–12 p.m.). Pickup at your accommodation and transport to the surf beach. Includes a snack and refreshment. The session is 15 minutes on land learning, then 1.5 hours in the water.
Surfboard rental + trip — COP $140,000. Same schedule and inclusions as the surf trip, for those who already surf and just want the board and transport.
Gym & training
If you like to keep training while you travel, Palomino has options:
Sport gym on the main road, with weights and full equipment for a free training session.
Tabata offers classes — kickboxing, pilates and more — or you can train freely. They also have a café and run activities like ice bath sessions.
Padel
Yes, Palomino has padel. Soleo Palomino lets you book a court from COP 70,000 hour for two person, and they also offer lessons if you want to learn.

Dance classes
Want to move to Caribbean rhythms while you're here? Makuti offers dance classes — salsa, bachata, cumbia, dancehall and more. It's a fun way to meet people and dip into local culture. Check their schedule for class times.
